Beginner kayakers will
learn the fundamental of kayaking. Spend 2 days at our lake getting comfortable
in the boat learning basic paddling strokes, wet exits, and the Eskimo roll.
Spend 3 days on local rivers with class I & II rapids learning to control
the boat in current, in and out of eddies, ferrying and basic water safety.
All camps are a 5 day/5 night residential camp.
All food, lodging, and
equipment are provided.
Kevin Owen is your camp director and whitewater kayak instructor with 18 years of experience in paddling and enjoying teaching others. The last 6 years he’s been an ACA certified kayak instructor and also trained in First Aid and CPR. His whole family enjoys kayaking, rock climbing, and camping.His first son kayaked his first river when he was 7 years old.

Learn all the basic
fundamentals of whitewater kayaking – paddle strokes, wet exit, Eskimo roll,
maneuvering in current eddying, ferrying, and basic water safety.
ROLL CLINIC
3 hours
Price:
$75
Learn to do the Eskimo roll
and get comfortable with it or just need help refining your technique.
We teach the c to c and the sweep roll.
